This Mountain Life is based in the historic Riverside District of Estes Park CO. The 3 cabin basecamp is tucked in a picture perfect natural setting between singing water of the Big Thompson River and rocky crags of Little Prospect Mountain.
The space is quiet and private, though all downtown attractions, the riverwalk, coffee shops and restaurants are only a short walk away. With the rocky mountains surrounding us — the Lumpy Ridge to our north, the Continental Divide to the west, and Longs Peak just south — world class hiking, mountaineering and water adventures are never far away. All of the Rocky Mountain National Park, the Indian Peaks Wilderness, and the Roosevelt National Forest are easily accessible with short driving distances away.

Not for you! Like in many Colorado communities, it is true that parking is in high demand at the height of the tourist season. But at This Mountain Life you are perfectly positioned for an easy walk to all that downtown has to offer and a short shuttle ride to outlying attractions. Plus, with your reservation you get 1 free door front parking space.
Yes, we have two laundromats nearby. Dad’s Maytag Laundry and Showers (457 E Wonderview Ave
(970) 586-2025) located in Upper Stanly Village, near Safeway and Village Laundry (174 S St Vrain Ave
(970) 577-9274) on Hwy 7. Both are 3 – 5 minutes away from This Mountain Life by bike or vehicle.
Safeway is located about 3 – 5 minutes from This Mountain Life at the northeast corner of Highways 34 and 36. It can be very busy in the summer months and locals try to shop earlier in the morning to miss the crowds.
The Country Market is a smaller independent grocery store located in National Park Village, just on your way to RMNP at 900 Moraine Avenue.
Unfortunately, no. To protect all guests, our policy is no pets. There is a pet boarding house within a few minutes of our cabins.
Absolutely! Our adventurous ladies will absolutely love trekking the mountains and the walking paths found all over Estes Park proper and the surrounding areas. Shopping, massages, spas, manicures, restaurants, tea and coffee shops, are an easy walk from This Mountain Life.

No. They do not require any. Pinned next to the foot of Little Prospect Mountain, they stay fresh and comfortable all summer long. If not, our oscillating fans available do the trick.
