This Mountain Life abides in the historic Riverside District of Estes Park CO tucked between river and rocks in a picture perfect setting with bright sunny mornings and moonlit evenings.  It’s in a suburban park-like area where life flows peaceably
and chipmunks, rabbits, mule deer and wapiti elk roam daily.

With rocky mountains surrounding us
— the Lumpy Ridge to the north, the Continental Divide west, and Longs Peak south—
world class mountaineering adventure is never far away.  All of Rocky Mountain National Park, Indian Peaks Wilderness, and Roosevelt National Forest are easily accessible by short drives.

Our Prime Location

This Mountain Life Basecamp is located at the southern outskirts of Historic Downtown Estes Park on E Riverside Drive where the Big Thompson River turns north to meet Fall River. It’s 33 steps east of the Big Thompson’s river bank and a short riverside walk to downtown.

For shops, eats, drinks, sweets and small-town culture, take a simple downstream stroll north along a cabin filled lane. Once downtown you will find best of Estes Park restaurants, coffee houses, wineries, craft breweries, green parks, outdoor concerts, festivals, hiking paths and other exciting places to be active or quiet.
